Dana Halloway, MHC-I

I am currently pursuing an Advanced Mental Health Counseling degree at Alfred University, building on a rewarding career in education that began in 2015. Over the years, I have served as a paraprofessional, teacher, and, currently, as a school counselor for Pre-K through 6th grade.

My professional journey has been shaped by a deep passion for supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and abilities. In my previous role as a behavioral therapist, I worked extensively with students with disabilities and related disorders, as well as their families, fostering growth and resilience through tailored interventions. This experience enhanced my skills in providing individualized care and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

As a dedicated mental health counselor, I am committed to expanding my expertise in areas such as family and couples therapy, trauma-informed care, grief counseling, and multicultural counseling, fully embracing the mindset of being a lifelong learner. My mission is to create a safe, empathetic space where clients can feel supported and empowered as they navigate their unique challenges. I am particularly passionate about helping families and couples build stronger, healthier relationships.

Beyond direct client work, I am devoted to collaborating with parents, educators, and community members to promote social-emotional learning (SEL) and mental wellness. With compassion, professionalism, and a client-centered approach, I aim to empower individuals to achieve personal and relational growth.

I look forward to partnering with you on this meaningful journey toward healing, growth, and wellness.
